How long does the battery last? |
- We measure our battery
life by the amount of steps that can be climbed with a
fully charged battery. Typically with a well maintained
battery that is fully charged you will get the
approximate lifting capacity outlined below:
- 500 lbs. = 450 steps
- 1,000 lbs. = 350 steps
- 1,500 lbs. = 100 steps

Can the Lectro
Truck go off the back of a
truck? |
- The Lectro Truck can
be used in the place of a tail lift gate provided your
truck isn't more than 41" from the ground to the bed
of your truck. If you have more than 41" a small
platform can be made to achieve the appropriate height.

Why do my wheels keep rolling towards the front of the step? |
- The wheels on the Lectro
Truck will roll forward for two reasons. One reason
might be that the step is too deep. When you go to raise
the load up to the next step if the wheels are too far
back on the step the inner frame will ride on the edge of
the step and pull the Lectro Truck forward. To
correct this problem you need to put a spacer such as a
2" x 4" at the back of the step to prevent the
wheels from going too far back on the step. A second
reason why your Lectro Truck might roll towards the
front of the step is because the load that is on the Lectro
Truck is too low and heavy. The way to correct this
problem is by using the balance box accessory. This moves
the weight up on the Lectro Truck to equally
distribute the weight and balance the load better. A third
reason your Lectro Truck wheels will roll towards
the front of the step is because the step might be
slanting forward. To correct this problem we now have
wheel brakes that attach to the Lectro Truck wheel
and prevent the wheels from rolling forward.

What
if I need to rest in the middle of the step with a 1500 lb.
load on my Lectro
Truck? |
- With the inner/outer frame
system such as the Lectro Truck you are able to let
go of the handles once the wheels and the toe plate are
positioned on the steps. Unlike other kinds of hand trucks
you can remove your hands from the handles once the load
is balanced on the steps.

What happens if my battery goes dead in the middle of my move? |
- If your battery should go
dead in the middle of your move with the Lectro Truck
balanced on the steps, you can get another battery or
Portable Power Pack and change it in the middle of your
move. The 5512E and 6512E comes with a Portable Power
Pack. To change the Portable Power Pack just unplug the
pack, unhook two side clips, pull it out of the frame and
insert a new Portable Power Pack, (additional Portable
Power Packs can be purchased.)
